This is the type of plug used to make patch cables with round STRANDED cable for Cat 5E applications. Stranded cable is what most patch cables are made of. Solid cable is what is installed in the walls when a building is wired. The gold plating is 50 microns and each bag contains 100 plugs.

If you are running standard round SOLID cable in the wall and want to terminate it with a plug, then you will want a plug designed for solid cable. Please see our part number CN150-45-1 if this is the case.
